jerrihr gave us this review on 06/01/06. Approx Dates of Stay: 5/26/06-5/29/06. What did you camp in? Motor Home

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Campground is on Natchaug river-my husband had a great time catching trout. There was road noise from RT 198, but not that bad. No rec hall.

Owners and Staff: Owners, Trudy and Charlie, bent over backwards to help their guests, to the point of placing their trailers on site with a tractor. Older buildings could use updating. Most of campground was well kept. Some areas were unkempt with storage items ie: old trailers and equipment.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Small, with many sites on beautiful river-nice for fishing and tubing. Cable TV, w-e-s. Many nice plantings. Limited planned activities, though there were a playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball

Overall Site Quality:

Good/Bad sites: sites along river are beautiful. Some sites were right on central area where playground ang games are played. Site 27 was very nice Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, close to the road, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, One road was far away from main bathroom, and only had an outhouse

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: some neat and orderly, some a bit too cluttered. Would like to see more transient sites

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.
