Overall rating for facility: Good. Overall rating for campsites: Very Good. CASCO BAY REGION. About 1 hr north of Portland. Very nice setting far away from the crowds. Large lots. Bushes and trees separate sites. Owners/staff are not very talkative, but they did come out and helped me back into my site. No problems with owners. Wild bushes and apple trees every where. I go on vacation to get away from concrete and crowds. This was the good part. Ocean views from any of the roads in the camp. You can walk down to the rocky beach (no sand or waves!). Connects to Baileys Island. I liked the camp and would only go back if the restroom facilities were updated. Great site #s: 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 have ocean views. Full hookups available on some sites. A minimal amount of no-hookup sites.

Very poorly maintained restrooms. Only 1 men's toilet working properly for about 70 sites. If you have your own facilities, this is not a problem. I tried to hold it until we got off the Island. I try and make the best of everything, but the restrooms were not tolerable to me. I do not mind coin metered showers, as I think it is great to conserve energy and water.

No pool, minimal camp store, but CHEAP LOBSTER ABOUNDS ON THE ISLAND. Most shopping is a bit of a drive because you have to drive off the island - about 6-8 miles to the nearest town. Last comments: I will likely not go back to ORR'S ISLAND but it is not entirely the fault of the camp. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired but the setting was great. My kids wanted sandy beaches and waves. I wanted to sleep at night and hear the ocean sounds. None of that here , not the fault of the owners. An average place on the coast if you want ocean front camping without cramped spaces.
