Cell Phone Service: Our verizon service worked fine

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember.

Activities and Amenities

pool, lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate.

Last comments: I really wish this campground would reconsider changing it's pet policy and allow pet walking through the campground, as most resort campgrounds in the northeast do. Though I appreciate the effort with the new dog park, park itself needs to be finished or cleaned out of tree stumps and rocks so pets can exercise freely. Regardless of the pet issues I would certainly return or recommend this campground to anyone

  1. Yeah, it’s strange that some campgrounds have that “pet policy”

    from their web site rules:

    Pet Policy
We love animals! Our park is full of them. In respect to our indigenous critters we ask that you please keep your pets on a leash and on site at all times. We are sorry, but you may not walk your pet in the park. Barking dogs will not be tolerated. No one likes messy shoes. Please clean up after your pet.

Somehow I don’t think that the campground owner(s) are dog parents.

:( Unfortunately half our camping fun is walking around the park with our dogs, so we probably would never go to Odetah. Too bad.

  2. I have camped at Odetah for years and talk to the owner when we go. He actually loves dogs and has a Puggle that he showed me a picture of. Very cute. I too love my dogs and thanked him for the new dog area which he said will improve if people like and use it.

A pet policy is enforced usually because a few people ruin it for those of us who doo care. You know the people who say they clean up and don’t if nobody sees them.

The rates did shock me this year but honestly, Odetah is far better than other campgrounds we have been to. They keep building and adding new things for us. Great minigolf, restaurant on the beach, the cool new jumpeez on the lake.(my kids love them) My family has many memories at Odetah and I hope to make many more.
