Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Very small & quiet campground.

Owners and Staff: Owner and staff were all very nice.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Nice river sites. Non-river sites are not as private as river sites, but still nice.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: Most river sites and sites P1-P5 and F8-F12. Bad sites: Not really bad sites but alot were not very private and close together.

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, somewhat small, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring

Cell Phone Service: Verizon service worked well.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, snobby seasonal campers, Alot of seasonals, not really snobby, just not overly friendly.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers:

Activities and Amenities

river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, pool table, playground, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, pets allowed, dumping station, Playground needs to be updated. Rec hall had 4 video games (2 were out of order), a fuseball table and a small pool table. Small camp store with basics.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, nature trails. No real touristy stuff in this area. Natchaug state forest right down the road. Went to a local apple orchard and picked some great apples.

Last comments: They have a Sunday service in the rec hall/lodge with bagels & coffee. It was kind of a evangelical/gospel type service. Not really our 'cup of tea' but it didn't hurt to try something different.
