Larry gave us this review on 05/27/08. Dates of Stay: May 23-26, 2008. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Tent - Size of Camping Unit: n/a

Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? Clean sites, super clean bathrooms each day, friendly staff, friendly campers.

Owners and Staff: The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They delivered the firewood to our site for us. When we had a problem with veyr noisy and rude cabin neighbors, they quitly fixed the problem and keptchecking in on us all weekend.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground was clean and orderly, the grass was soft on your feet and nice and short. There were no rocks or uneven ground to deal with at each campsite. The whole place was lanscaped nicely.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Good sites: All that we could see. Bad sites: n/a

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. We were camping with the boy scouts and had 4 scout tents and 3 adult leader tents plus 2 ez-up canopies and had plenty of room beyond that too. We were very happy with our site!

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, The seasonals were in a seperate section and we had little interaction with them. But those we did meet were very friendly.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The restorrom and showers near us were always clean. There were 3 shower stalls, so when we sent the scouts to shower (yes,we do that)3 went to the closer bathhouse and the ret went to the other bath house which had 6 or 8 showers in it and was only a few more minutes away.

Activities and Amenities

pool, pond, lake, river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, tv or movies, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, Clean and heated pool which the scouts loved.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. It is about 15 minutes to Niagara State Park where the waterfalls and activities are. Right next door is an amusement park, but it neither opened too early or stayed open too late and was not too loud. It did intrigue our scouts but they did not investigate it.

Last comments: I highly recommend this campground. It is convenient to all Niagara Falls and surrounding area activites. The $5 pp/night rate for the scouts is very welcoming too. The grounds are always clean and neat and the staff is efficient and very friendly and they work hard to make everyone happy. We'll be back again someday.

  1. I will agree that it is great for tent campers and small trailers.I have a motorhome and was turned into a sardine. The sewer cap for the site next to me was under my picnic table. The staff is awsome and it is landcaped nice.Like most KOA’s it was built before the big rigs came around. At $90.00/night I expect a bigger site.

  2. Wow, $90/nite. I’d stay in a hotel for that much. But the big rigs were kind of tight. But towards the other bath house and pool, the sites seemed to be larger.
