Naples, ME -
Dave gave us this review on 07/24/06. Dates of Stay: July 2006. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 24'
Overall Campground Rating: fair-average.
What stood out? The owners of this campground were fabulous. Very friendly and willing to help with anything. The campground is brand new. The first thing that struck us was how many campers that could fit in the campground.
Owners and Staff: Extremely friendly and willing to please.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Everything is brand new.
Overall Site Quality: fair-average
Good sites: A-1 is the only site I would describe as 'good'.
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Our sewer hook-up was higher than the campsite. We had to hook up and move the camper to dump the sewer. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, somewhat small, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Site were very small with no natural border between them. Our site, and the two sites next to us, slanted toward the road. Also, all of the sites above us drained into ours flooding us.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Super clean and new.
Activities and Amenities
pool, swimming, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, bingo, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, Heated pool. New playground.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, Sebago Lake is just down the road. If you had a boat or activities at the lake during the day this would be a good 'home-base'.
Last comments: I feel guilty about the fair-average review because the owners were so nice and it is kept very clean and modern. However, this was not our kind of place. It was very crowded and open and the sites were quite small. In fact, our neighbors awning was about 8 feet from the camper next to them.

Thank you for your honest review. Sometimes it is hard to be truthful when the owners are so nice, but you gave a constructive review!
Perhaps someday the owners will reconsider the size of their sites, and do some reconstruction.
