Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? It's located on a small bay with beautiful views all times of the day. To our great surprise, a free daily newspaper was delivered to each site every morning. A very nice touch!

Owners and Staff: Staff was very friendly.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Lots of grassy, clean sites. The grounds are kept clean, lots of trees for shade. Some sites on gravel/dirt. Great views.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: All looked good. But it was nice waking to a view of the bay each morning and watching the sun set each night. A water view is great. Bad sites: none noticed

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, sewer, cable, wifi for the cost of each site, the wifi should be FREE Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, large and spacious, somewhat small, close to the road, sandy bottom, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Ours was small-ish. But the location was great and the view was awesome.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, Very friendly

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: All were kept super clean.

Activities and Amenities

pool, ocean, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, Heated pool, daily 6pm hayrides (which were very popular), lobster and ice cream socials weekly. The entertainment was aimed mainly at the older than us crowd or kiddies. But that was fine.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. Acadia National Park just down the street. Main Bar Harbor about 10 miles away. Also whale watches, carriage road bike trails, tons of hiking, swimming, and more.

Last comments: We made new friends here. We'll definitely be back as we had such a wonderful time. So much to see and do. Bring your bikes, canoes and kayaks (or rent them). Acadia is beautiful.
