Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? New Bathrooms with hot water, Alot of trees between sites.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: 143 Bad sites: 0

Campsite hookups: primitive tent Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, group camping area.

Cell Phone Service: full bars - Verizon

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.

Activities and Amenities

lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, playground, ice cream, snack bar, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate. Three swimming areas with life gaurds

What is nearby? nature trails.

  1. We love Moreau Lake campground.  The beach is very nice and clean. The fishing is good and we love to row around the lake with our conoe (no motor boats are allowed which makes it even nicer). There are many hiking trails which are very well kept. Our favorite trail is to Mud Pond. In the fall you can see geese at the pond and you can watch them land and take off.  They make a lot of noise. There are a lot of stores only 3-5 mins. away which is nice if you forget anything. Fall time is our favorite time especially for walking around the lake.  All sites are well maintained and have privacy.  The staff at Moreau Lake are wonderful people and are always willing to help you out.  The rangers keep the peace so everyone can enjoy their stay.  We highly would recommend Moreau Lake Campground.
