What stood out? Very clean, garbage bin are outside of the loop entrance which helps with the animals not been in the area where you sleep. The showers need some fixing up.
Owners and Staff: Have been camping here for the past nine years. I always find them helpful when you have a question or need directions.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: I find each loop has a mixture of very private to semi-private. Ground cover from grass to small gravel. Because I have a tent my major concern is being able to get the stakes in the ground. loop 800,700,300,100 is a better chance of getting the tent stakes in the ground. loop 600,500 is next to impossible because so close to River there are more rocks. Except for a few most are pretty good in size.

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, picnic table, fire ring, Ground cover from grass in some areas to small gravel and no grass.
Cell Phone Service: When I had a cell phone I was able to make a call to canada
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Each loop has a building with 3 toilets 2 shower 3 sinks. They are clean every day and well-stocked. The only complaint I have with the park is the showers they need some work done.
pool, river, fishing, recreation hall, video games, playground, camp store, ice cream, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, There are two pools one is Olympic size. Camp store has quite a good selection from camping supply to food.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. charcoal corral restaurant & drive in-theater & miniature golf on rt. 39 is excellent family fun. Shopping go to henrietta is a 45 min drive to a big mall. Nearby there is a wall-mart 25 min away in geneseo. mc.donalds at mount morris. perry there is a iga grocery
Last comments: Go white water rafting in Park. I thought I'd be scared but I Actually had a lot of fun. The falls is beautiful. breakfast at glen iris inn was nice. at dusk go for drive, it's the best time to see animals "just try not to hit them "

There should be dispersed camping allowed at Letchworth, I’ve visited this place almost every year since I’ve been a kid and am getting tired of going, and I will NOT PAY the ridiculous prices to camp anywhere…. I feel that there should DEFINITELY be a place to “BOONDOCK” in LETCHWORTH!!! If it’s the MONEY that the state is worried about then they should stop and think about this—- If people were to “BOONDOCK” (DISPERSE) camp in LETCHWORTH they would still BUY things from the gift centers!!! When I go now I don’t even bother to STOP at the over PRICED gift shop and haven’t in almost a decade!!!
Sure it’s good to go and see the sites but hey I can go to ALLEGANY STATE FOREST camp for FREE and see a bunch of new sites!!!! NY should quit being so “GREEDY” and OPEN things up for it’s residents!!!
