Ledgeview village rv resort (Campground Review)

Posted on August 29, 2008 - New York, Adirondacks Mountains

Queensbury, NY -

Jerry gave us this review on 08/29/08. Dates of Stay: August 2008. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 28 feet

Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? Wide site access for larger units, extremely clean restroom and showers, quiet, multiple recreational options (game room with ping pong and pool table, full bocci court, shuffleboard court, horseshoe pits, and good sized pool).

Owners and Staff: Everyone in camp office was friendly and helpful.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Tall pine and no undergrowth.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: All of the transient sites seemed to be level and equally good. Bad sites: I did not check the entire campground, so cannot report on bad sites.

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: somewhat small, sandy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, No privacy between sites. Sites have tiers of landscape timbers to divide sites which are on higher or lower levels, which prevents water run-off in case of rain and also to help identify site separation.

Cell Phone Service:

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? . Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Clean, well-lit.

Activities and Amenities

pool, swimming, recreation hall, video games, pool table, playground, camp store, laundry room, security gate. Store offered numerous rv supplies, but the food selection seemed limited. I wish the pool was heated or had at least a solar cover. ater was too cold for some of our family. Pool was extremely clean and well-managed.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails.

Last comments: For a calm, clean, worry-free get away weekend, this is the place. No pets allowed so this is a plus. Most campers seemed to be away at local attractions most of the day, so we had the bocci court, shuffleboard, ping pong, and pool mostly to ourselves.
