That's Camping review on 06/16/03.
Approx Dates of Stay: 6/11/03 to 6/15/03. Overall Campground Rating: very good. What stood out? Meticulously kept. Very clean and new. Quiet and peaceful. No Pets allowed. Owners and Staff: Extremely helpful and accomodating. Friendly and willing to answer any questions or requests. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Beautiful. Well kept. Very clean and new. Pretty area.
Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: Sites are in rows. Most of the outer sites are seasonal. Sites are large and have scattered trees. No tents allowed. Only RV's. Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring. We were there in the off season, so it was very quiet and peaceful. But I don't think it would be too noisy in peak season. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Activities and Amenities: pool, recreation hall, video games, playground, campstore, ice cream, AM coffee, laundry room, security gate. Mostly big rigs and travel trailers. Lots of seasonal campers. No tents. I don't believe there are planned childrens activities. This place is more for the quiet camper. Just for those that want to relax. We loved it!
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails, Minutes from Six Flags Great Escape, Lake George Village, and other area activities. Last comments: We enjoyed our stay. They made us feel very welcome and we had a quiet lovely stay!
