Tammy gave us this review on 08/26/07. Dates of Stay: 08/19/2007 to 08/26/2007. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? 5th Wheel Trailer

Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? Bees, bees and more bees. Also power loss quite frequent with tripping of circuits (not good for the camper circuit boards). No activities for the children at all.

Owners and Staff: Staff was not friendly, seasonal people not friendly, and staff tried to avoid you if they knew you were having an issue.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Sites average, nothing outstanding about them. Bathrooms and showers need updating. Game room needs updating. Laundry expensive and definitely needs upgrading.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, Average when power was on Campsite Descriptions: somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, Tight and lots of bees everywhere.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: snobby seasonal campers, too many seasonal sites. Most seasonals act like you are invading their territory and they can't wait for you to leave. I would say 50/50 on friendliness.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Updates desparately needed.

Activities and Amenities

lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, pool table, playground, theme weekends, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Camp store small, prices average. Activities next to nill. Playgrounds small with lots of BEES. Docks need updating. Fishing not that great.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, 30 minute drive away

Last comments: Needs clean up on the beach. Child got a leach. Water very dirty with lots of debris. Not someplace I would really want to take a fair sized boat.

  1. i feel the need to defend Kokatosi because I have been a seasonal camper for almost ten years and it’s like a second home to me if your looking for somewhere to have a seasonal site then kokatosi is a good place the seasonal section is like one big family and we always welcome newcomers. and if you just want a weekend getaway tehn there are as ametter of fact a lot of activities fo kids, they have kickball or baseball games every friday and saturdays have arts and craft times. about once a month dj bubbles comes and the whole campground gets together for dancing. they also offer breakfast every sunday morning. it’s relaxing and FYI the showers have been updated they put in new ones that are so nice i prefer them to the one in my camper moral of the story…..come to kokatosi
