Kim gave us this review on 07/07/07. Dates of Stay: 7/07. Will You Return? No. What did you camp in? Tent

Overall Campground Rating: not good.

What stood out? The primitive tent sites are are down a steep hill from the main campground, along the edge of a dark swampland. Lots of bugs. Only toilet in this part of the campground was 1 porta-potty. Regular bathroom a 10 minute walk uphill.

Owners and Staff: The owners and staff were very friendly and put a lot of hard work into maintaining the buildings and the grounds.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: The main section of the campground is for RVs. It is bright and clean yet there are plenty of trees. It is on a ridge above the main road. Down the backside of the ridge are the primitive sights where it is dark and dank.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, somewhat small, picnic table, fire ring, RV sites are packed in pretty tightly. I think the pull through sites only had about 10 feet between each RV. Not a campground for anyone wanting privacy .

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: These were kept very clean just a long distance from the primitive site area where, again, there was one porta-potty and it was quite full.

Activities and Amenities

pool, swimming, recreation hall, video games, pool table, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, Good camp store, very clean pool, nice little playground.

Last comments: If you like really knowing your neighbors, its a nice campground for RVs and there are clean cabins. IT is a clean camp. Bad for someone wanting rustic sites (swampy, dank, buggy.) Also, some company (paper mill?) or generator very noisy at night.
