Cheryl Ann gave us this review on 07/10/05. Approx Dates of Stay: 07/08 to 07/10.

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

Owners and Staff: Staff was very friendly.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Partially paved roads.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good/Bad sites: Sites from 125 to 156 were good. They varied in sizes. When booking you should let them know what you are looking for. We wanted a large site and got 128. No trees between neighboring sites. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, somewhat small, sandy bottom, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring,

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, Seasonals have their own section which is close to Route 98.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Very clean restrooms. Cleaned twice a day (AM & PM). All modern. Two hooks on door and shelf. Could use a stool to sit on while putting on pants so they don't get wet from the floor. Two large sinks outside for cleaning dishes.

Activities and Amenities

pool, recreation hall, video games, pool table, playground, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Only sell ice. Paper was delivered to your site daily. The ice cream truck came around on Saturday night. Not sure if they do this regularly. No planned activities. Pool was at a great temperature.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, ocean or lake, amusements, It's a 15 minute walk to the ocean and amusement park.

Last comments: Quiet time begins at 11:00 PM and we heard security going around twice during the evening to enforce this. Very quiet campground. Quiet at night. Not sure what they'd be like during a holiday weekend. It wasn't very full this weekend. We did visit Bayley's Camping Resort and Wild Acres Campground and we weren't impressed with either of the campgrounds - too congested for our taste. We'd go back to this campground if we visited the area again.
