That's Camping Review: 2000 (Thanks to Bob M for some of the details in this review!) Nice campground. Only a few seasonal sites, most are transient. Most of the sites are very large, but some are not that private. A lot of good sites to choose: the whole side section from 46 to 129 borders the woods, also top section #059 thru 061E; sections 032 thru 055C is open and grassy. Some are wooded and cushioned with pine needles-majority of their sites just have dirt bottoms. The sites near Rt. 98 might be a bit noisy at night; we heard Police sirens and we were far away from the street.

Showers were free and plenty of hot water. Restrooms were accessible, new and clean - but it was a little unsettling to walk out of a stall and see a male worker cleaning the sink. They really should consider closing the bathroom while it is being cleaned ~ for the consideration of their guests. We thought that it was also a little strange that the door to the restrooms/showers building that we used, was wide open all the time, with no screen door or privacy wall outside.

Tarred access roads. Medium sized pool-might get very crowded on hot weekend days. Playground was a little small for the amount of children there, but there were planned crafts & activities which made up for it. The location of the playground was right next to the pool area, and sometimes the pool gate was left open, so be careful to watch the younger ones. Small Rec Room with video games & pool tables. Pets allowed. Security gate key. No camp store, but close to grocery and restaurants and an ice cream truck came into the campground in the evening. ¾ mile walk to the beach; too long to walk to the Old Orchard pier, but a quick drive. Pleasant surroundings -- all in all a nice place, but I don't know if we personally would go back, but the others in our party would.
