Approx Dates of Stay: 7/23/04 - 7/25/04. Overall Campground Rating: very good. What stood out? Nicely situated along the West Canada Creek which looks more like a river than a creek. Lots of open grass areas. Owners and Staff: Friendly staff Camp landscaping and surroundings: Partial shade, grassy sites
Overall Site Quality: very good. Good/Bad site #'s: Great full hook-up sites along the river #58 thru 78 Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, Sites #1 thru 6 are pull thrus, lots of "Kamping Kabins". Some of the back-in river sites are better as drive in's due to hook-up placement #74 for example Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, Not too many seasonals, maybe 12?
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Typical average restrooms
Activities and Amenities: pool, river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, Nice playground What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, Diamond mine across street Last comments: A nice campground for river tubing, and prospecting for Herkimer Diamonds. Definately worth a weekend trip !!
