What stood out? The fact that they were keeping the place up with what appeared to be a full time maintenance man
Owners and Staff: Friendly, Helpful, Acommodating. I drove them nuts changing sites 3 times and they were still smiling
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Clean. You have your choice of wooded, full sun or a combo.
Good sites: Everything was of great quality. The Island Explorer shuttle bus stops in the campground Bad sites: Everything was top drawer
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, wifi Hookups had a permanent feel to them. Some CG's look like they roll up the equipment at theend of the season. Not here Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. They take credit cards! There are few parks in Maine that accept them that I almost ran out of cash. As to the park, a very nice place to stay. Staff was very helpful. Find a spot and tell them. As previously reported, the have any kind of spot you might want. Field(full sun), completely wooded or a combination of the two. Wi-Fi is only available on top of the hill, but worked well. The FREE shuttle bus stops at the campground and runs to the village green in Bar Harbor where you can connect with other shuttles for trips all over the area. A little cool for swimming, but the pool is large and well maintained. Speaking of maintenance, they are constantly doing things to the property. Looks like a full time employee devoted to it. From the prices I have seen and the conditions related of the other campground parks in the area, the is a pearl. We camped here in a Motorhome.
