What stood out? Very well maintained. The pull thru sites are beautiful. Pull thru sites are seperated with a line of pine trees.
Owners and Staff: Owners/Staff are very-very friendly. Very layed back. Have a great personality for being campground owners. When we arrived and got our site number, one of hte owners, Jason, escorted us to our site.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Well maintained lawn. A lot of pine trees between sites and a row along the roadway.
Good sites: All the pull thrus. Site P3 is large enough for 2 campers to park awning-to-awning. Will be doing that next year. This year had P1 - also very nice. Bad sites: none that I saw
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Water spicket already has power reducer on it Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, Have highway along sites but is a rural area so not much traffic noise.
Cell Phone Service: Have cell service. All servers had reception.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember.
pool, swimming, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, bingo, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station; Pool is open till 10pm and once owner gets cleaned in the morning - it's opened (around 8:30-9) - great perk. Camp store is very limited supply but there is a super wal-mart close by. Wish could write more about campground but was only there for 2 nights and had family party on Sautrday so checking things out was limited.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores,
Last comments: Owners are very nice. Have friends who are seasonal and they speak highly of them. The campground is a must to stay at if going thru Ascutney, Vermont. Will be staying in 2009. Already made reservations.
