Approx Dates of Stay: 07/26/03-07/27/03. Overall Campground Rating: horrible. What stood out? Check in was fine. We had called in advance and reserved the last tent spot they had available. The price was 14 dollars per night for up to 2 people. 7 dollars for every person over 2. It didn't seem to matter that the 3rd person was our 3 year old son. So, 21 dollars for a tent site. Water and electric were both present. We get to the site. First, this campground has a major population of seasonals. The seasonals in the site next to ours had a dog in our spot. They had a 6 foot high wood fence built around their trailer and a hole cut out in the bottom of the fence so their dog could venture to the next site. Mind you, there was dog droppings everywhere. There was also a visitors of theirs car parked in our spot. They were so kind as to move the car and the dog. Tent gets set up, all is well. The sites are so close to each other it's uncomfortable. The only bathroom facility for this area was a porta potty. My son took one step in and reared straight out claiming, "I don't want to go in there". The nearest plumbed toilet was about 1/4 mile down the hill. So, in this instance, there was far more dignity peeing on the ground than subjecting oneself to that porta potty. Time to sleep. Here comes a problem. The seasonals think it's an all night party. They are just a yelling and whooping it up until around 2 am even though we were handed a freshly printed sheet of the rules. Rules state, quiet time starts at 11pm. Needless to say, the noise, filth and close quarters made this the most awful camping experience of our lives. Owners and Staff: A middle aged couple. Camp landscaping and surroundings: A man-made fish pond far far too small for the size and amount of fish it holds, a small flower garden.

Overall Site Quality: terrible. Good/Bad site #'s: Every upper level site I saw was awful. The lower level sites were far more spacious and clean. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise. If you like being within sneeze spray range of a complete stranger, this is your place. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered, snobby seasonal campers, too many seasonal sites.

Clean restrooms and showers? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no.

Activities and Amenities: pool, video games, pool table, camp store, Poorly stocked camp store. Approx 1000 percent markup. What is nearby? restaurants, Get on a trail and run, don't walk away from this place. Last comments: I'll never stay here again. It was disgusting and the worst night I've ever spent away from home. I've been camping for about about 19 years all over New England and New York. This place is THE PITS.
