That's Camping review on 06/19/05.Approx Dates of Stay: This was our 3rd visit - Aug 2003, Aug 2004 and June 2005.

Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? We love this campground. Pristine campsites and facilities. I don't think there is anything actually "bad" here!

Owners and Staff: Excellent. So friendly. They always have a smile or wave! I just wish they would slow down a little on their golf carts! smile

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Beautiful. A gorgeous flower bed is located at the front as you drive up. Immaculate green lawn. More flowers by the office. Little painted rocks surrounding each flower bed add a unique touch to the landscaping.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Good/Bad sites: Some noted sites (this list is not complete) #1, 7, 10, 8, 9(tent), 12(tent), 16, 18(tent), 19(tent), 20(tent), 25A, 25, 26, H1(tent), H3(tent), H4(tent), 46(tent), and all the riverside (primitive) sites over the bridge. The sites across the road from the river sites are also quite nice. The RV sites are grassy, sunny, and open. These sites are not private, but they are quite large.

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, grassy bottom. Most sites have both crushed rock to park your vehicle or trailer and also a large wood chip area for tents, screen houses, play areas, etc. Our site (#8) was very large and private - the wood chips covered the majority of the site. It rained ALL week while we were here, and we didn't notice puddles on any sites. The rocks and wood chips keep the sites dry!

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers. Only a few seasonal campsites, and they are kept very neat.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Good access to all bath facilities and they are kept clean!

Activities and Amenities

river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, bingo, tv or movies, playground, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station. They have a great camp store. no pool, but a brand new playground and mini-golf. We don't normally partake in any camp activities, but they have fun activities for all ages (including movies with popcorn!)

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, amusements, nature trails. Close to all the activities in the White Mountains. There is a grocery store within 5 minutes. The town of Littleton is a quick drive away where you will find more restaurants in the downtown area, along with a large retail area up the road with Shaws, Walmart, Staples, Applebees, Subway, etc.

Last comments: We really love this campground, and try to return each year. It never disappoints us.
