Four Mile Creek State Park

Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Very spacious sites - we had a "prime" site and it overlooked Lake Ontario - beautiful sunsets, lots of room. If you camp here you can park for free at Niagara Falls State Park in downtown Niagara Falls which is a $10 savings. Easy drive to the Falls.
Owners and Staff: The staff was helpful in giving directions and suggestions for things to do in the area
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Beautiful, well maintained campground. One playground looks brand new as well as one new bathhouse. Some of the sites overlook Lake Ontario. Most of the sites are very big with lots of room between them especially on the outer loops. One loop just as you enter the campground was more crowded.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Good sites: Sites 222 and 224 were ones we thought we'd request another time. Also some of the sites near 250 were very big with open fields behind them. No full hookups and next time if we were spending more than a few days we'd try to get closer to a water hook up - those were fairly spread out and we couldn't reach one from our site. Bad sites: No really "bad" sites but some of the loops were more crowded - the one just as you entered the park had campers on all sides of each other. The 200 loop was more spread out with back in sites and no one behind you especially on the water side.
Campsite hookups: electric, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, semi-private, large and spacious, The sites on the 200 loop were our favorites with back in, private sites. There are no full hookups at this park, only electric sites. We would look at the map again and try to get closer to water in case we needed it during our stay.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? don't remember.
Activities and Amenities
You can use the pool at Fort Niagara - no swimming available at Four Mile Creek. Fort Niagara is just a few minutes away. You enter the park for free and then pay to use the pool - I think it was $3 for adults and $1 for children or something like that. Nice, big pool and an additional pool with water slides for children over 48 inches tall.
What is nearby? restaurants, ocean or lake, amusements, Convenient to Niagara Falls especially with the free parking downtown at Niagara Falls State Park
