Approx Dates of Stay: inspection visit. Overall Campground Rating: fair-average. What stood out? This was an inspection/visit only. Still a little cold (22nd of April) for camping. There is now a pool. Sites seemed pretty small, generally. This area is 37 years old and obviously geared to tenters. Sites were, for the most part, fairly close together. Bathroom/shower buildings were adequate, but again, small. More like out-houses upgraded to flush toilets. Campfires are now allowed (they were not before the new owners). Owners and Staff: I met the mother of the new owner. Very friendly and helpful. Nice store/office. Camp landscaping and surroundings: This campground is in the heart of the York/Maine Seacoast area. Sites were mostly wooded. LOTS to do in the area, if that's your interest.
Overall Site Quality: fair-average. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, somewhat small, picnic table, fire ring,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Small, could get crowded depending on campsite population. Area is geared to tenters, so they will make more use of the facilities than RV'ers.
Activities and Amenities: pool, pond, ocean, playground, camp store, dumping station. What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails.
