Approx Dates of Stay: 9/2001, 5/2002, 9/2002. Overall Campground Rating: good. What stood out? New Pool, Office staff is very friendly. Ongoing sewerage problems at campground. During my visit they had 3 broken washer machines. Dryer is suppose to give you 8 minutes for .25 but stopped running after 3 minutes. Owners and Staff: Owners (Hoyt family) are absent from day to day running of campground. Campground manager (Tim) does not appear to be a people person. If you make any suggestions to him, his response is if you don't like the Danforth Bay Camping Resort you can leave. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Pool, Back-in and pull through sites, Pavilion, movie room, children's activities.

Overall Site Quality: good. Newly created sites are subject to problems from rain runoff.

What is nearby? restaurants, retail stores. Last comments: Sorry that I'm not giving the glowing review that others have here. When the Hoyt family purchased the Danforth Bay opened, I was impressed by all the work that they were doing and how helpful the staff was. Two years later, the honeymoon is over. Campground is beginning to suffer from deferred maintenance. It used to be that if you had a problem, you let a nearby campground staff member know about it and it was fixed. Now all requests must be made to the campground manager in writing. This campground has ongoing sewer problems that are not related to improper sewer discharge. On the Main Street area, you are subject to constant whiffs of sewerage smells coming from the Septic vent pipes. After viewing one of the newsletters that manager Tim, sent out to seasonal campers complaining about them, I feel sorry for anyone with a seasonal site there.
