Warrensburgh, NY -

ECardone gave us this review on 09/12/08. Dates of Stay: July 7-11, 2008. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Pop-up Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: n/a

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Beautiful setting. It is not an RV resort. It is a very laid back, quiet family campground.

Owners and Staff: Owners run a tight ship. If you are interested in a party atmosphere this is not the place for you. Tom is an excellent water skiing instructor.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Large beautiful private lake, no motor boats. Only 15 minutes from lake George, but perfectly quiet. No road noise.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, picnic table, fire ring,

Cell Phone Service: I have Verizon and do not have service at Daggett Lake

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, The season campers are not friendly, though I would not say they are snobby.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.

Activities and Amenities

lake, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, There are swings at the beach area. A dock in the swimming area. The lake is clean and beautiful. Water skiing and tub rides are available.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, amusements, nature trails. It is about a 15 drive to Lake George.

Last comments: We have been going to Daggett Lake for 3 years and love it. We camp 4-5 times a year and we always return to Daggett Lake, it is one of our favorite camp grounds.

  1. I’m planning a family camp and this place sounds great.
The thing is, we’ve never camped before, so I’ve no idea as what gear to buy.
Could you guys please give me some advice or recommend some websites for camp 101?

  2. Hello Camp Clair,

First off you can stop spamming other people’s web sites….sure, you look like a convincing camping beginner with a link to a web site that sells camping gear! LOL
    Silly spammers!
