What stood out? wooded sites, this is camping at it's best. Structured facility, many signs. I wasn't aware of the cameras on the facility until I was in the store and overheard the staff discussing something seen on camera, not a big deal to me...but a little awkward.
Owners and Staff: I don't know who the owners are, but the staff I encountered were very friendly and courteous. I also found the staff to be very responsible, a group came in to rent a site for the night and were turned away, as it appeared 3 out of 4 were underage....inevitable trouble.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Clean, manicured, although very buggy on the sites past the beach, somewhat on the swampy side...just bring bug spray.
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, If close to the office, one would experience highway noise
Cell Phone Service: US CELLULAR, Service wasn't bad
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, we walked our dogs through the seasonal sites and people were very friendly with a quick hello.
Comments on restrooms and showers: I didn't use the facilities as our camper has a bathroom and shower, however I noticied the staff at the restrooms across from us quite regularly with cleaning supplies
lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, recreation hall, camp store, AM coffee, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. The store was very well stocked and clean. I was so pleased that this campground is soooo dog friendly for responsible pet owners, the new dog park is great ( just needs a water spicket)...but fantastic nonetheless.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. great location, nearby to everything
Last comments: The only thing I wish that would change for future enjoyment is a onsite lake access for the dogs...as friendly as this campground is to dogs it's unfortunate that you have to get in your car for them to enjoy the water as well....I know my dogs would be far more tired at the end of the day if water access were offered. We have been to many campgrounds throughout the state of NH, and never visited the same one twice....I can't wait to go back to Clearwater, I very much enjoyed our stay.....Thanks Clearwater
