What stood out? Very nice campground in the beautiful Bershire region of Massachusetts
Owners and Staff: Very friendly and helpful
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Many seasonals who weren't there during the week, but well maintained. Loved the lake (Otis reservoir)
Good sites: All sites in the shade seemed good, some larger than others. Ours was big enough. Bad sites: For people without electricity - the field sites (although spectacular view of the stars at night)
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, semi-private, large and spacious, close to the road, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, I liked that there were many garbage cans along the road we camped, and were emptied every day I was there.
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, Many weren't occupied - maybe there's more people in the week-end. Our site was placed with the seasonals, so I think this must be 90% seasonal. They are all very friendly.
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: It was a good walk to go to the restroom from where we were. The restrooms are very rustic. Bring your soap...
lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, docks or moorings, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, camp store, pets allowed, dumping station, security gate. I saw two nice playgrounds and basketball playing areas. The lake is the main attraction, with boat rentals and a slide. It was a good walk from our site, but there's a parking for the lake and store, so we would bring our van.
What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. Stores and restaurants are at least 15 to 20 minutes away, and Six flags is a good hour away.
Last comments: A very nice, friendly campground and region. People are very laid back here. The campground was very quiete and the beach never full of people. We wanted a nice place to camp not too far from Six Flags and we were very satisfied.
