Overall Campground Rating: fair-average.

What stood out? Nice sized lots, level. Facilities were very clean. Had free crafts for kids on Saturday. Spaghetti dinner with wagon ride following for Moms day on Saturday. Have a nice pond with some large bass, catfish and carp to fish for. The game room is non-existant. There are no attractions near by. Lake Erie Refuge close but only has a 1/2 mile hiking trail and nothing else. Nothing else to do.

Owners and Staff: Secondary staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner was generally unpleasant.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Well maintained. Treed lots. Some more so than others but adequate. Quiet.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: wooded, large and spacious, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Did not have shower knob for showers. You had to press in a button which allowed the water to work like a timed faucet. It only stays on for about 30 seconds. Pressed about 35 times just to shower. And you cannot control the water temperature. Way to hot for children. But they were clean.

Activities and Amenities

pool, pond, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, laundry room, dumping station, Pool needs repairs on lining. Reasonably priced and stocked camp store. Very small play area with reapirs needed. Old equipment, just odd swings that use arm power rather than leg and a couple climbing jungle gyms.

What is nearby? Nice place to go if you want to do nothing else but sit and relax.

  1. Thanks for your comment.  We’ve corrected the water temperature.  We had a mixing valve that was not functioning properly and replaced it.  We are also replacing the water push buttons so that they function correctly as well.

    Hope we’ll see you again.

    Thank you!
