john g gave us this review on 08/13/05. Approx Dates of Stay: august 7 to 14.
Overall Campground Rating: not good.
What stood out? The campground does not have a 'quiet hour' when one expects quiet time. The traffic through the campground was 24 hours a day. The trash was picked up at 4am, that's not a good time to wake up when you're on vacation. The people that live there seem to go to work at 5am. Add the noise from I 95 - do not plan on sleeping much. I left two days early I could not take any more.
Owners and Staff: I asks for a refund for the two days and they said no. They did not apologize for the accommidations, they said they would get somebody to stay there after we left. Too bad, because the Salisbury area is very nice.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: They had two pools, the size of large hot tubs, it will only fit about 8 people . Its only good to sit in. The hours at the pull are short, from 1 to 7, considering the weather was 90 degrees, everyday, that did not seem very accomodating. The sites were small. Shade was lacking. They had no camp store where you could buy camping supplies. They had a large play area but it was in full sun. It also was not supervised at all, there were kids playing dangeously on it and no one said anything. I believe we should watch our own kids but you would think the owners would come out of hiding to parol the area. The garbage was not recycled and stunk. AND there is NO FREE TROLLEY TO THE BEACH as described in their brochure.
Overall Site Quality: not good
Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise, gravel and sand
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: the other campers were friendly
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? yes. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: no urinals in men's room, making them unsanitary
Activities and Amenities
pool, swimming, video games, playground, pets allowed, laundry room, security gate.
What is nearby? ocean or lake, amusements, Hampton Beach was the best bet for entertainment with children. Staying at the campground wasn't much of an option
Last comments: We won't go back. We won't recommend.

I totally agree with the review. My family and I have camped here for 1 night and it was just as described. The pools are ridiculous and the sites are very small. I counted 21 people who cut through our site in the one night we camped. I would not recommend either.
Posted by Tracy on 08/17/05I posted a similar review last year at this time about this campground. Read my recent review on Rusnik Family Campground just down the road. Salisbury area is beautiful, and finally found a place to enjoy it.
