That's Camping review on 06/20/05. Approx Dates of Stay: Drive-Thru Review.

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? We drove through this campground last year or the year before, but I think I was just too lazy to write a review. smile I really like this campground so I really don't know why I was so lazy before.

Owners and Staff: Just had a brief interaction with the office staff to ask for a brochure and map. The gentleman was very helpful by taking the time to cross off the sites that were seasonal or unavailable.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Well maintained, clean

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good/Bad sites: I have a very large list of notable campsites; there really were not many undesirable sites and this list is not fully complete. Tenting sites: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 43, 44, 48, 64, 66, 67, 68, A, B, C, D, E, (some tenting sites seem far from bath house) E/W Sites: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17*, 18, 19*, 20, 21, 57, 110*, 111, 112, 127, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 141, 142, 144, 145, 146* Full Hookups: 100, 101*, 102*, 103*, 104, 105, 106, 107, 156*, 157*, 158, 159, 164*, 165, 168 Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, private, large and spacious, grassy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Most sites are grassy and sunny, but surrounded by trees/brush for privacy.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers.

Comments on restrooms and showers: They could use another one or two bathroom facilities to accommodate all campsites.

Activities and Amenities

pool, river, swimming, fishing, recreation hall, video games, playground, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Indoor pool, huge camp store to fill every imaginable need.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, nature trails. Located right on Rt 302, this campground is in the middle of the White Mountains and all the attractions and activities of the area.

Last comments: We recommend this campground!
