Approx Dates of Stay: July 6-8, 2002. Overall Campground Rating: very good. What stood out? Good: Best Store I've ever seen; Sparkling Clean pools (3 of them) in 2 different areas; Best Arcade; Quick Registration; Shuttle bus to beach; LOTS of things to do here; Best Snack Bar I've ever seen. Bad: The "basic" site are tiny! The price to stay here is very high; Lots of car traffic in the front of the campground. Owners and Staff: This is more of a "corporation campground". The staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. No problems and they enforce the rules. Especially with the kids. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Woody campground for the most part.

Overall Site Quality: good. Good/Bad site #'s: Good: Bayley Best Sites (larger and semi private) Bad: Bayley Basic Sites (small & not private). Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. They run the gamut here. There are some really nice sites as well as some really awful ones. This is a tenting wilderness area here also. Seasonal Campers and Campsites: cluttered.

Comments on restrooms and showers: Lots of restrooms and all within a short walk. Many of them are in need of a face lift. The showers near our site look down right awful. I'm glad we had a trailer with sewerage.

Activities and Amenities: pool, pond, river, swimming, fishing, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, pool table, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. 2 pools had really shallow ends which worked out well for my 3 year old; one pool has a diving board; There are 4 spas (3 were working during our visit) for adults only (and this is enforced). Playgrounds need updating (they have 3 but 2 of them are tiny). What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements. Shuttle bus to the beach (we didn't take it). Last comments: This place is not for everyone. Its definitely geared for families with children or those who are young at heart. There are a lots of things to do but may not be the most relaxing place in the world. I have mixed feelings about this place, if you are looking for fun then come here otherwise stay away. If a campground could be a city this would be it. Everything you need just about is within the boundaries of the campground.
