Approx Dates of Stay: 8/11/03. Overall Campground Rating: horrible. What stood out? Facilities were o.k., but it was excessively priced at over $50 per night (3 adults, one of which is disabled, and one teenager). The first site they gave us was like parking in an alley -- absolutely NO room at all to even pull out the awning or even a place to put our 2 terrier dogs out. We asked for another spot a couple sites down (why they didn't give us that one to begin with is beyond me) and we moved. A little more room, but not much more. We would definitely NOT return to this campground. It was absolutely the WORST campsite we've EVER had -- anywhere. And the MOST EXPENSIVE as well!!! Needless to say, we decided not to stay and moved out the next day. They also need desperately to spray for mosquitos, because they were the worst we'd ever encountered. We couldn't figure out why people would spend any amount of time here, unless they stayed for the activities -- game room, pool, jacuzzis, etc. It was a good thing we went to do our laundry early in their laundry room early in the morning, because it really got crowded later, and campers who appeared to be regulars there got downright nasty and self-centered later in the morning once the crowd developed. Would NOT go back to this campground. Owners and Staff: They were pleasant, but didn't seem to make any effort to give a better site up front, rather than having to ask for it. Camp landscaping and surroundings: Very small, narrow campsites. For motor homes, they park you one behind the other (called a "pull through"). Other than that, they were clean for the most part.
Overall Site Quality: terrible. Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer. Campsite Descriptions: somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring.
What is nearby? Old Orchard Beach isn't too far away.
