Overall Campground Rating: fair-average.

What stood out? We were in the OOB area and stopped by for a drive through as we had not camped here in about 6 years. We loved Bayley's but found it extremely crowded, more so than in the past. It was always a busy campground but we were there on a Monday afternoon and it was crazy. I am sure it is still a fun place but campsites that we usae to put our pop up in now had 32 foot travel trailers etc and made the place look too full. They have added sites everywhere including tents along the wall of the store.

Owners and Staff: The staff was very nice and did not have a problem with us driving around. When they saw us come back they came out to meet us to finalize the paperwork.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground has dirt/stonedust roads and is very marshy. The bugs were out in full force. The entrance way is nice and neat and looks inviting.

Overall Site Quality: fair-average

Good sites: There are some good sites but you need to look for them, I suggest a drive through if you are in the area. You need to picture the site with your unit, not the oversized unit that might be there. Bad sites: In the fields, overflow area or near the store.

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes.

Activities and Amenities

pool, pond, ocean, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. There is plenty to do here and they supply a trolley to the beach, either OOB or Pine Point.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, OOB is a great area, one of our favorites. Bayley's was once our favorite ain the area but we are not sure any longer.

Last comments: As stated, we were turned off big time by the over crowded sites thus leading to cars and trucks sticking out in the streets etc. The web does state that they are adding 180 new sites and they have added a new road to get back to the tenting/no hook up area.
