Camper11 gave us this review on 05/14/07. Dates of Stay: August 2006. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 32'
Overall Campground Rating: excellent.
What stood out? Campground was easy to find with the entrance right off Rt. 28. The park itself was immaculate and the facilities were very clean and well kept. They have 3 pools, 2 playgrounds, 2 basketball courts, horseshoes, volleyball and planned activities daily for both kids and adults. The ice cream parlor was a nice evening treat for the kids and the outdoor restaurant was very good but a little pricey. This campground is huge and one of the few on the cape that allows open campfires.
Owners and Staff: The clerks were very personable.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: The campground is located at the beginning of Cape Cod. The beaches and scenery on the Cape were beautiful - the ferry to Martha's Vineyard was a 15 minute drive. Close to beaches, the local grocery store, clothes and gift shopping.
Overall Site Quality: excellent
Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, highway noise
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Immaculate restrooms

We visited this campground in July and August of 2007. The park is neat and well maintained. The camp store, playground, pools and arcade are all great amenities. It is easy to get to (right of Rte. 28 over the Bourne Bridge). The sites were neat and well kept and had a rock fireplace (the front office also sells wood for camp fires). We had a great time except for one thing…the CRABBY attendant at the 2 pools. She is rude and demeaning to guests. We did not have an encounter with her, but went to the pool often and saw her interactions with others. She was AWFUL!
Posted by Mary on 08/12/07I was at the campground the same time. I also had problems with the pools. Mine was becasue my daughter is too young to swim without an assisted device. We were told that she was not allowed to swim with back bubble, therefore we were not allowed to use any of the 3 pools, unless we purchased a lifeguard approved live vest at there camp store, or try to teach her to swim that day. I’m all for safty but there are other ways.
I got the feeling that the works just don’t care about our problems, they have problems of there own to deal with. I was not a happy camper that week.Posted by Don on 08/13/07
