wersilly gave us this review on 08/04/08. Dates of Stay: July 25-30, 2008. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 31 Ft.

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Good: All sites were concrete pads with a concrete patio area. They have a fenced in dog run area which made it nice for our four legged friends! Bad: Some sites were very close together.

Owners and Staff: Everyone we met seemed nice and helpful.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: The cg is set off of the highway on a back raod. It is well taken care of. Lots of fields surrounding the cg.

Overall Site Quality: very good

Good sites: All sites were about the same. Some were a bit narrow. Bad sites:

Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi A key was needed to access the Wifi connection. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, somewhat small, Concrete sites made it nice, very little mess to track into the camper.

Cell Phone Service: We have AT&T and we had full bars at the cg and most of the surrounding areas. The only place signal was broken was at Jamestown.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: There were none that we saw.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: The restrooms were beautiful. They looked recently remodled. Tile walls and floors, brass fixtures, real full size doors to close off shower and toilet stalls.

Activities and Amenities

pool, swimming, recreation hall, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, I cannot comment on any amenities that we did not use. We did not really spend a lot of time at the cg. The pool was small, but nice. The laundry room was clean. The pet run area was a large fenced in area which was very nice.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, amusements, The cg is about 10 miles from Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, and Water Country USA.

  1. Great Review wersilly.

I like the fenced in dog area and so would my dogs especially after a busy day walking around the parks who wants to walk the dog!

Also the concrete patio seems to be taking off!

  2. Believe me it was very nice.  I found no messes in the dog area which was surprising…All cgs have the rule to clean up after your pet, but some just never do.

The concrete patio was very nice.  We have an outdoor mat that we put out under the picnic table and we did not even have to get it out.
