Overall Campground Rating: very good.
What stood out? Big campground. To me a least. Some nice rustic spots
Owners and Staff: Staff and owner where GREAT really nice. Always smiled and waved hello.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Well kept. It rained our last day there but it didnt get that muddy.
Overall Site Quality: very good
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, wifi Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring,
Cell Phone Service: Net 10 Worked intermittently
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, We hardly saw anyone, It was pretty full of seasonal s but no one seemed too leave there RVs,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? no. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Need at least one more bathhouse near far end of campground. The port a johns make it look really cheap.
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, river, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, pool table, playground, theme weekends, camp store, ice cream, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station,; We where told how busy it was on weekends so they really saved any specials for them(themes, parties. etc.)Pool small but OK. Arcade is a JOKE! One game and two super ball Wending machines. We didn't find rec hall until we went exploring its got a ping pong table a pool table. Seemed unused. It just wasn't enough to keep my kids occupied. Boating was paddle boats but my kids loved them.
What is nearby? grocery stores, retail stores, Walmart about 10 miles away. A Price Chopper a little closer but prices where high compared too Westchester and Rockland Ctys.
Last comments: Guy the owner is really great. My only real complaint is they just need a little face lift. We stayed in a cottage which was really nice a toilet and shower and we really felt like we where alone in the woods. Also the price was GREAT!! Almost half what everyone else in the area charges for a cottage.
