Overall Campground Rating: very good.
What stood out? Very friendly staff. Large campsites.
Owners and Staff: Very friendly. Always a smile and a little conversation.
Camp landscaping and surroundings: Wooded and open fields. Clean.
Overall Site Quality: very good
Good sites: We like the riverfront sites and wooded sites best. Bad sites: The ones by the pond are private but too far from bathrooms.
Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, grassy bottom, pine needle bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area. Sites vary from very level to hilly
Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers,
Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: Some sites are quite a hike to the bathrooms. Check site map before you reserve.
Activities and Amenities
pool, pond, river, swimming, fishing, boating, recreation hall, pool table, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, ice cream, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, Pool is heated and very clean. Campstore is adequate. Walmart and Kmart about 20 minutes away in Matamoras as well as a Price Chopper.
What is nearby? grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. We stayed at the campground enjoying the site and the camp's activities all weekend.
Last comments: Theme weekends offer a free dinner Saturday night with 2 nights paid camping. Good food and lots of fun.
