Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? Tons of activities for the kids. Great beach/lake. Great nightly entertainment. Bug-free bathrooms and showers!

Owners and Staff: Everyone was so friendly!

Camp landscaping and surroundings: Natural landscaping. We stayed over on BlueJay Lane where there aren't too many sites. Lots of trees in between you and your neighbor.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Good/Bad sites: I didn't see a bad site anywhere in the campground. Campsite hookups: primitive tent, electric, water, sewer, cable, Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, large and spacious, sandy bottom, picnic table, fire ring, group camping area.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: Not sure who was seasonal & who wasn't. Everyone was very friendly.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. free showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: These were the cleanest showers and bathrooms we've seen. They had no spiders and maybe a mosquito here and there, but not like a typical campground.

Activities and Amenities

pond, lake, swimming, fishing, boating, boat rentals, recreation hall, video games, live entertainment, bingo, tv or movies, playground, theme weekends, kids planned activities, camp store, AM coffee, snack bar, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, security gate. Store is well-stocked with everything from knick-knacks to food/beverages/ice to t-shirts/sweatshirts. Lake was clean and the kids loved it. There are several playgrounds throughout the campground.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, nature trails. Acres of Wildlife is ~24 miles off the Maine Turnpike -- 3 miles of which is a dirt road. Off the highway is a large mall. We didn't leave the campground once we got there. There are plenty of activities for everyone.
