Steve and Patricia Coker gave us this review on 07/27/07. Dates of Stay: July 2nd through Now. Will You Return? Yes. What did you camp in? Travel Trailer - Size of Camping Unit: 19 feet

Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? The people were and still are, extremely friendly and very nice. They are very punctual with trash pick up daily. They acknowledge you, with a friendly wave, as they drive by on the carts that come round. It's a very nice beautiful place. Also it's reasonably priced and we hope to go back many more times.

Owners and Staff: I don't know the owners that well, but if they're all like the lady I talked to, they're all very sweet people.

Camp landscaping and surroundings: It really impressed me. The only thing I don't like is the Mosquitos, but we spray our own area to keep them down.

Overall Site Quality: excellent

Good sites: 02 is where we're staying at this time, and it's our first experience at Three Ponds. Bad sites: I don't see ANY bad sites.

Campsite hookups: electric, water, sewer, It's nice to have our own toilets, although the ones at this campground are very clean and nicely kept. Campsite Descriptions: sunny and open, wooded, semi-private, somewhat small, close to the road, picnic table, fire ring, Our site is awesome it has large gravel rocks on it, and it's ideal for drainage. We have had rain for almost two weeks of our three week stay, but it was able to drain off our site because of the rocks. We'll choose a site like this again. With children it's ideal because it keeps down the dirt tracked into the trailer. We have three grandchildren, who are two, three and six years old. They're really starting to get used to camping now.

Seasonal Campers and Campsites: neat and orderly, friendly campers, snobby seasonal campers, We're next door to a family that is complaining, but other wise we're happy with the campground. We're trying hard to keep the children busy and quiet etc.

Clean restrooms and showers? yes. Restrooms and showers need updating? no. Coin-metered showers. Are restrooms accessible from all sites? yes. Additional comments on restrooms and showers: I don't use the restrooms or showers to much because we have our own in our trailer, but I have used the toilets and they're kept extremely clean and neatly.

Activities and Amenities

pond, swimming, fishing, boating, playground, kids planned activities, camp store, pets allowed, laundry room, dumping station, I'm not sure about all of these, but the ones I've checked are good. At first our children got bites on their legs from the pond, (and we'd sprayed them with bug spray) later on though we learned to stay near the middle of the sand area.

What is nearby? restaurants, grocery stores, retail stores, ocean or lake, amusements, nature trails. There are a lot of attractions that are fairly close to the campground, but I'm not sure if the people who use it, would be able to find their way out. It's a nice campground but if you don't know the area that well it might be a problem finding things to do.

Last comments: Yes, we'd definately like continued access to this campground.

  1. I used to camp here with my grandmother when I was a kid. I am now 40 and this campground was the first one we went to when I started camping with my children.
