Winter Camping One More Time

Well, we can’t stay away. We are here again at Danforth Bay this weekend. A bit colder than last time, but the trailer is sooo warm. And we had our pie guy pies, so I was happy. I don’t know if we will be able to come back before they close til Spring, for there is a 3 ton Load Ban on the roads when it is warmer. Don’t think our trailer/truck is light enough to go on the banned roads if the ban is in effect. But we shall see. It is actually fun to come here in the colder months. Very quiet and peaceful!

  1. Do they really have a closing time? I was thinking of an April trip during school vacation.

You like Danforth Bay SO MUCH you should just store your trailer there and stay whenever you can.

We are going up north this weekend but staying in a hotel (blushing of embarrasment).  :->

  2. Bob, for shame! A hotel?? eeek! *wink*

Yep, unfortunately, Danforth will be closing at the end of March. That 3 ton ban on the nearby roads would probably put a little damper on things anyway.

There is a campground in Meredith, uh, oh yea, Meredith Woods- they are open all year long. http://www.meredithwoods.com/ Mike wants to check it out. They have a heated pool. grin
