Searching and Viewing Campground Reviews

I just received an email from one of our visitors with a suggestion for the site. He was inquiring about adding a link for each campground that would list all of that campground’s reviews on one page…
It would be a great idea, but as I told him, it isn’t possible due to the fact that each campground name can be typed in differently by a reviewer.
One person can type in “Danforth Bay” while another types in “Danforth Bay Camping Resort,“ so you see, to a database, those would look like two separate campgrounds. And it would make it even more confusing to navigate.
But I gave him a suggestion to make it easier to find reviews for one campground. The SEARCH text box or Advanced Search page is a great way to find the reviews on one campground.
By typing in “Danforth” in the search box, all the camping articles and reviews mentioning the word “Danforth” will be displayed. If a more specific search is needed, (for example only “reviews” for Danforth) click the Advanced Search link and choose the specific area you would like to search, “reviews” or “camping (articles)“ - Narrow that search even more by choosing a category.
The search box (and advanced search link) is found on the main That’s Camping page along with the main reviews page. I realize that that some internal pages do not display a search, and I have added this to my list of things to do.
Eventually, the search box will appear on each page in the site, so if you are reading a campground review that intrigues you, it will be easier to search for other information on that campground.
Thanks Larry for the great suggestion!!! ![]()
