Review: Pizza Barn

Posted on September 09, 2005 by That's Camping - Food, Restaurants

We highly recommend the Pizza Barn on Rt 16 in Ossipee, NH (603) 539-2234. I don’t think there has been a trip to this area that hasn’t resulted in dinner there. It has to be the best pizza in the world! Even the Phantom Gourmet loves it!

With a friendly smoke-free atmosphere in a rustic old barn, this restaurant is a must if you are a pizza fan. Each pizza is overloaded with delicious toppings, and the cheese and sauce is balanced just right. Mike rarely eats the pizza crust, but he even enjoys this crust! Scrumptious

They offer 3 different sizes. Individual, Medium, and Large. We usually opt for two individuals so I can get the mushroom topping I love. There is also subs, salads, and pastas on the menu as well, but the pizza is what they come for. *yummy*

Definitely stop at the Pizza Barn when you are in the area! You will not be disappointed.

UPDATED!

Bob (New England Camper) recently visited the Pizza Barn, he allowed us to post his review here. Thanks New England Camper!

We visited Pizza Barn in Ossipee, NH last Sunday night. It was a rainy night on the 1st full day of our vacation and I didn’t feel like grilling.

I loved the Barn atmosphere (it was warm and very casual). This is a place where a large family may not have to wait for a table because all the tables fit 6 or more! In fact if you are two people I’m not sure if you would have to split a table. The kids liked the game room in front of the building.

For an appetizer we had the garlic cheese bread with marina sauce. This was really yummy.  Niki (my teen) didn’t care for the marinara sauce but loved the bread. They also offer ice coffee (along with soft drinks) which at this point of the day made my day! Patty had a hot tea to warm up.

For our meal we had the Farmer’s Daughter Pizza (spicy hamburger, sauteed onions & peppers, and pepperoni, and mushrooms). For the younger three we ordered a small cheese pizza. The pizza was great however the sauteed onions and peppers was not a big hit for all members of the family. I really liked it and it tasted good the next day re-heated in my camper!

Overall I really liked the Pizza Barn and was a GREAT change from Pizza Hut which my family really likes.  We’ll probably visit again and try a different type of pizza. They offer Hawaiian which is another family favorite.

I liked the fact that they had three different size pizza’s that you could order.

I thought this place offered a GREAT value and was comparable with other chains and pizza stops.

  1. A as teen (about 20 years ago now) my parents use to stay in the North Conway area and make the long drive (about 1/2 hour) trip to the Pizza Barn. I remember the pizza being VERY GOOD!

We also checked out the White Lakes Pizza/Sub shop right on Rt 16 (just before you turn off to go to Danforth Bay). Very Good and filling subs!!!
