  1. We made it to Papoose Pond this past weekend as well. They made an error in our reservation and had us on a site that does not allow pets. We ended up across the main road up on the hill. At first we were not too happy but after being there we liked it better than the busier side.
These sites were awesome, dining shelter with shelf storage, a sink with hot and cold water, and electric stovetop and your own personal bathroom with a shower in the back of the shelter!!

To their credit they did give us two $30 rental coupons for bike and boat rentals that last for the entire season.

Sorry to have missed you while we were there.

  2. oh Charlie, we looked for you at the site by the beach!!! I thought maybe something came up and you couldn’t make the trip! That beach site you originally had booked was very nice. But the wind was crazy this weekend by the water! Especially on Saturday. It was a bit warmer where you were on the other side.

Yes, those sites with full kitchen/bath are great, aren’t they? Our friend Donna stayed in one this weekend too, and she loved it.

We were staying in one of the plain water/electric sites on the “other side” too. I love the “other side” - it is soo much quieter and less crowded.

We had a pretty good weekend, but it was FREEZING! I was wishing I kept my mittens/scarf in the trailer (from winter camping) because I really needed them! The one good thing about the cold was that the bugs were scarce. Oh except for the ticks. Somehow, they were abundant this weekend! We kept finding them on us. EEk! Sorry we missed you Charlie!!
