New Photo Editing Software

I recently heard about Upshot photo editing software from Bellamax.

For a limited time, it is a free (windows only) download; after June 30, the cost will be $30. I can’t test it on my Mac, since they don’t have a Macintosh version yet, but I downloaded the file anyway.

I have heard many good things about the software; the one-touch fix feature is very effective! But there are still a few bugs to be worked out. If you love digital photography, try the software and let us know what you think.

  1. I just saw the beautiful pictures that you took on your flickr website of the lupine festival. What great quality shots! Thanks for sharing?

What camera do you have? I really want to get a new one at some point. It eats batteries and can’t picture after picture quickly.

  2. Thanks Bob.

Does your camera take the AA batteries, or the proprietary battery? I know some cameras can eat through those AA’s.

Cameras have come down in price, and there are so many to choose from. It all depends on what you want.

I have a Canon G6, but if I was buying a camera today, I think I would go for the Canon S2 IS, oh wait, it looks like they just released a new version: the S3 IS.

You might be able to find the S2 on sale now...anyway, this line has great optical zoom. I wish I had better optical zoom...I can add a lens, but they are so expensive!

Here is a list of helpful links for digital cameras. Reviews, buying hints, etc. These are the sites I view when looking for a camera.

http://imaging-resource.com/ which offers a digital camera advisor that was extremely helpful to me.

I have a whole section on digital photography on one of my other sites...and the process for finding the camera I have now.
