Check out the fantastic New Hampshire attractions. Some have additional fees, but some are free!
- New Hampshire Drive-in Movies: a fun night full of nostalgia. Every kid (and adult) needs to experience a drive-in at least once in their lives. For a list of all New Hampshire drive-ins, check out the website. We like the one at Weirs Beach!
- Weirs Beach: Boardwalk, Arcade, Sandy Beach. Check out the Weir's web cam from Anchor Marine. Also check out Weirsonline.com (also has a channel cam).
- Mount Washington Cruise: Scenic cruise around Lake Winnipesaukee - also dinner cruises. See their website for details on schedule and prices. Stops in Weirs Beach, Alton Bay, and Wolfboro. There are also a couple more smaller boat cruises as well.
- Conway Scenic Railroad: Rt 16 in North Conway. The Valley Train offers two different round trips (to either Conway or Bartlett.) At $17 per adult, we didn't think this train ride to Bartlett was worth it when we rode it back in 2001. The Notch Train offers a 5 hour ride to Crawford Notch. This ticket is more expensive but looks to be a more interesting ride. There are dining options as well.
- Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad: Train ride along the lakeshore. One and Two hour rides, along with dining options. check their website or grab a brochure for more information.
- Santa's Village and Story Land: good for families with younger children.
- Pemi Valley Excursions: Moose Tours. We have no idea if this is worth the price, but the brochure looked interesting enough. They boast a 96% success rate for moose views.
- Loon Mountain Park Located In Lincoln on Rt 113 (Kancamagus Hwy). Not just for winter sports! Sky ride and other activities. Check out the summer activities. We loved the secret caves!
- Attitash Bear Peak (Rt 302 Bartlett) Chair lifts and alpine slides are offered, along with many other activities.
- Wildcat Mountain: Rt 16 near Great Glen Trails (just south of the Mt Washington auto road) 4 passenger gondola sky ride to 4062 feet.
- Old Man of the Mountain - off Rte 93, in Franconia Notch area. There are well-marked signs pointing the way to views on the North and South sides of Rt 93. Although the Old Man has passed on, there is still wonderful information about this natural wonder. And it's free!
- Flume Gorge: Great walking tour of the gorge. $Additional cost
- Kancamagus Highway - (Rt 112) Lots of scenic stops on this road. We always love to stop at Rocky Gorge (Eastern end of the road) and take a dip in the icy river, then take a hike around the lake.
- Mt Washington Auto Road - (off Rt. 16) There is also a Cog Railroad ride ($49) for a 3 hour round trip.
