The Manchester RV/Camping show was fun. Spend a few hours there and really got to talk to some of the campground owners. We were impressed with a few of them, and hope to make some plans to visit soon.
* South Arm Campground way up in Andover ME. It is a haul of a drive, but I have always wanted to go here!
* Mountain Lake Campground in Lancaster, NH. We found the new owners of this campground to be delightful. This one is a bit of a drive as well, up by Santa’s Village, but I hope we can check it out.
* Riverbend Campground in Leeds, Maine. New owners for this place too. Very nice. On a very deep river, you can launch larger boats as well as small ones. They also have rentals. I hope we can make it up here. I know Mike is looking forward to checking it out.
* Chewonki Campgrounds in Wiscasset, Maine. I have always seen this campground at the shows, and keep wanting to go. It looks like a lovely place with an ocean breeze.
* Camp ‘n Canoe in Brownfield, Maine. Right on the Saco River. Looks very well maintained and a fun place to go. We do love campgrounds on rivers.
* Breezy Meadows in Concord, VT. Such a nice family owned campground. We had a nice conversation with the owners, and if you are planning a party camping weekend, this is not the place to do it! We need to try more Vermont campgrounds and I hope we can make it to this one.
And besides the above list, we will definitely be back to Danforth Bay along with Whit’s End and Franstead Campground. Possibly Papoose Pond in Maine and Dixon’s in York, ME. Looking forward to this season!
