Columbus Day Rally at Danforth Bay

During our stay at Danforth Bay, we found out that there is a planned rally during Columbus Day weekend for some of the RV.net posters.

We will be at Danforth Bay on Columbus Day and it is one of our favorite weekends to go to Danforth. Trick or Treating throughout the park, costume and site decorating contest! The fall foliage, the Sandwich Fair, Fryeburg Fair, and lots of other goodies.

    As you know we are going to Danforth Bay for Columbus Day weekend this year as well. I just hope the weather (temp wise) is as good as last year (minus the downpours during the trick-or-treating).

    We really had a good time and was surprised how many people still camp (Danforth was sold-out or close to it) for this weekend. Are you staying for both weekends and leaving your camper on site for free?

    Yes, it is quite amazing how this (late in the year) holiday weekend is so popular at Danforth!

    We don’t have any plans yet for the prior weekend, but we will be going up on the Wednesday before Columbus Day weekend to get a earlier start. We did the same thing last year. It is so quiet and peaceful. We love it!
