I read this article about Adventure World RV dealership in the Boston Globe today. What a shame. They refinianced new loans, without paying off older loans. Oh I hope they throw the book at these horrible people! Stealing, last time I looked, was a crime!  Looks like their membership to the Better Bus Bureau was also revoked in April, 2004 as well.

Please please, do your homework! Before doing any business with any dealership (or any business for that matter) make sure to check out their reputation with your state Attny General and Better Bus Bureau. A quick search on google sometimes will also bring up information on a business. Also check the archives at newsgroups, and forums for comments from others, and don’t be shy about posting questions yourself asking for opinions on dealerships.

In today’s tough times, it is very important to try to protect yourselves. Companies are becoming desperate and some will stop at nothing to gain a buck!

  1. We never got our promised repairs from Campers Inn (in Ayer). We brought the camper in Nov. 2003. They were ordering parts for us and never called us back. I called back a few weeks later and they were going to call me back the next day on the status of the parts. No phone called recieved. We knew something was up. Called back in March but that is when there phone was disconnected.

Fortunately we have found a new dealer Gary’s RV (in Chichester NH) and didn’t leave our camper with them! So far so good. I feel bad for all those other people that are having problems.

You are right… if you have to watch out!

  2. Oh you were so lucky that you didn’t leave your camper with them. How terrible that must be!
