Overall Campground Rating: excellent.

What stood out? This campsite gives visitors all of the options, from a site for campers with hook-ups to walk-in sites with no hook-ups for tent campers. All of the sites are close to the river for easy fishing.

Owners and Staff: The only one whom you'll ever speak to there is Heidi, and she's great. She runs a small general store for...

Overall Campground Rating: very good.

What stood out? Overall, exceptionally clean and well run. Pictures in brochure always seem nicer than when in person, but the pictures didn't do the place justice.

Owners and Staff: Campground was well organized. Uphill climbing to get places, but that's good exercise. The pool was fabulous. Not all staff was overly friendly, but friendly enough. Got the feeling they didn't really like out-of-towners.

Camp landscaping and surroundings:...

Mike gave us this review on 08/10/03.

Approx Dates of Stay: 8/4-8/9/2003. Overall Campground Rating: fair-average. What stood out? The campground had come highly recommended, but I found the sites to be on the small side, although there are some trees/brush between you and your neighbor. Quiet hours are not enforced. Owners and Staff: Run by the DEC, the staff was mostly courteous and helpful. The DEC patrol car was highly visible during the day, but absent at night. Camp landscaping and surroundings:...

What stood out? If you like rustic camping, you will love this campground. Very "back to nature." the campground is dark, as it is so wooded. Nice and cool.

Owners and Staff: They seemed very friendly. Only issue was we had to wait for them to raise the gate, as one owner was on the phone and did not see us waiting and the other was not in...

Mary gave us this review on 07/30/03.

Approx Dates of Stay: 7/20/03-7/25/03. Overall Campground Rating: fair-average. What stood out? Campground is very hilly, kids were not able to easily ride bikes from the campsite to the store/pool area. Activities were poorly run and not well organized.
