The book Eat This Not That! Supermarket Survival Guide is fantastic! I recently bought it, and even though I had previously studied a lot about nutrition, it was a real eye-opener. (follow the above link for more info and for pricing.)
It's difficult to decipher what's healthy and what's not when looking at today's food labels. This book makes it simple to make the right food choices. A lot

We have never eaten at this particular Applebee’s but we have been to a couple of other locations. The thing I didn’t like about this location was that even though they have “non smoking” tables, the smoke from the bar is noticable throughout the whole restaurant. We were at a table by the window and it seemed as though someone was smoking right next to us. It would only last for a minute or two

If anyone has a plan to purchase a Weber Baby-Q Grill, head over to Stop & Shop grocery stores. After 25% off, the final price is $120 (plus tax). I have been checking the price on this grill every so often, and have not seen it at any other store for a lower price. The sale ends on the 4th(Saturday.)
After we use the Baby Q for a little while, I will post an official review, but I am confident

While camping, bring along your pizza stone (if you have room) and make a home-made pizza on your grille.
We recently purchase a “Walk-A-Bout” charcoal grill by Aussie Grills - It folds up flat (with wheels) for easy traveling. Our first try at grilled pizza turned out horribly. Yuck. The top was pretty good, but the bottom was burned. We learned quickly that using “indirect” heat works much

So, where are the best burger joints?
Fuddruckers
We became addicted to Fuddruckers when they recently opened their new restaurant in the Jordan's Furniture store in Reading, MA.
They offer excellent burgers....from a generous 1/3 lb to a mammoth 1 lb, there is a burger sized for everyone. And not just burgers, I happen to love their turkey and veggie burgers as well. If you still want

Besta One Pizzaria
35 Main Street
Lincoln, NH
603-745-6536
We stopped at the Besta One Pizzaria restaurant for a quick dinner, on our way up to Fransted Campground on (June 14) Tuesday night.
Wow, what a detailed menu! Everything from pizza and subs to pasta and seafood. We both opted for the $9.99 lobster roll. It came with a choice of side - fries, onion rings, cole slaw. I wasn’t in the mood

I had previously raved about Green Mountain Gringo Salsa, the salsa company from Vermont. But I was a bit disappointed in the last three or so purchases, the mild recipe seemed spicier (hotter) than it was in the past.
So, I was on the look for a new salsa to love. I found it in Better Than Fred’s Salsa.
Fantastic taste! This salsa has CHUNKS! Just like you would make it yourself. And the mild

When I can’t get fresh, I like using frozen vegetables; I love how easy it is to microwave the frozen bags. This is also handy when traveling in the RV (as long as you have a working microwave).
I prefer Green Giant, but the Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables that steam in a microwave bag are good as well. I decided to try the “Sweet Mini Corn on the Cob” thinking how bad could it be? Well it was

Grandma’s Kitchen is located on Rt 3 in Whitefield, NH. They serve breakfast all day!
Besides breakfast food, there is a huge selection of dinner choices. It reminded me of diner food! Meatloaf, turkey & stuffing, stuffed chicken, ham, fried chicken, sandwiches, pasta, steak, seafood. Lots of variety.
Mike ordered the fried chicken and I ordered the turkey/stuffing dinner.
As for food quality,

I have found heaven and his name is PIE GUY! If you love desserts, you must try these pies. We first found them in a restaurant last summer, and then ended up finding the actual store in Plymouth, NH. I am in love with the tollhouse cookie pie, along with the coconut cream. Mike loves the key lime or coconut cream. I would probably try any flavor!
If you are ever in a location that offers a
